What We Love About The Nilfisk Liberty SC50
Safety as Primary Design Factor
Nilfisk has put its hallmark emphasis on safety in the design of the SC50. From it's unique drop off laser sensor design and its speed adjustments while navigating around obstacles to the safety bar that props its top open and its external fill tubes. The design engineers at Nilfisk have spent time making sure the unit adheres to Nilfisk long tradition of safety.
On-Line User Guide
The group at Nilfisk spent a great deal of time thinking of the user. The online user guide is accessed by scanning an onboard QR code. The user guide is exceptionally laid out and very user friendly. When Cyberclean trains and deploys these vehicles this guide is a hit with attendees. Finally they can use their cell phone for work!!
Ease of Pad Changing
Access to changing the pad on the robot is simple and straightforward. Many tinmes other AMR designs do not consider the user and the need to ensure this process goes fast in the field. The process can be accomplished by hand with no special tools or hardware.
Drop Off Sensors
Many times during deployments we are asked about whether the robot will have difficulty with stairs or esclators. Nilfisk again has put thought into this requirement by installing four downward looking lasers that help avoid these hazards as well as ensure more accurate and safe navigation around people and obstacles.
External Fill Tube and Ease of Routine Maintenance
Sometimes the most simple non-technical design outshines the most technical. A simple clear fill tube on the outside of the robot ensures a user doesn't overfill the robot causing water to spill out, creating safety hazards and labor cleanup time. This unique filling process can be accomplished without raising the top of the robot or accessing any special hardware. Nilfisk had the user in mind when they designed the Liberty SC50.
